Indiana Grants for Education

The state of Indiana is committed to making college affordable by offering need-based grants to students attending public, independent, and proprietary colleges. These grants are only available to residents of Indiana.

To be eligible for a Indiana state grant, students must:

  • be an Indiana resident
  • be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • be a high school graduate or hold a GED
  • attend, or plan to attend, an eligible college or university
  • be enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a course of study leading to an associate's or first bachelors degree
  • be a full-time student, or plan to enroll as a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours per term) or be a half-time student (6 credit hours per term) to qualify for the part-time grant
  • file the FAFSA before March 10th
  • file corrections by June 10th- to view your award online or to see if you need to correct your FAFSA visit the state website
